Don’t assail or impugn an identifiable individual or group. If you have that kind of criticism, sign your name and submit it as a Letter to the Editor. (There is some leeway on this in connection with public officials, but it is not unconditional.)

Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

HIGGINS - WERNER

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Megan Higgins and David Werner were married on June 2, 2012, at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis, Ind.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Marilyn Higgins of Greenfield, Ind. The bridegroom is the son of Hugh and Jacqueline Werner of Rouses Point.

Jenifer Snow of Denver, Colo., was the maid of honor. James Franke of Rouses Point was the best man.

Bridesmaids were Allison Werner and Kimberly Werner, sisters of the groom; Amy Higgins, friend and sister-in-law of the bride; and Kelsey Sachleben and Cheri Grant, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Sara Rhodes, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Ellee Davis, the bride's godchild.

Ushers were Robert Grim of Alburgh, Vt., Jonathan Hartigan of Mooers Forks, and Pablo Martinez of Louisville, KY, friends of the groom, and John Higgins of Indianapolis, Ind., friend of the groom and brother of the bride. Junior groomsman was Ben Rhodes, cousin of the bride.

A reception was held at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis.

Megan Werner graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., in 2010, with a bachelors degree in biochemistry. She is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

David Werner graduated from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., in 2010, with a bachelors degree in psychology and from Purdue University in May 2012, with a masters degree in human resource management. He is currently a senior HR generalist at Eaton Corporation in Marshall, Mich.

After a honeymoom in Antigua, the couple resides in Battle Creek, Michigan.
