Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

LaClair - Murphy

PERU — Jana and John Ormsby of Peru, N.Y., together with Joyce and Leo Murphy of Louisville, N.Y., would like to announce the marriage of their children, Rebecca Mary LaClair and Matthew Joseph Murphy. The ceremony took place on Aug. 11, 2012, on the beach at Mooney Bay Marina in Point Au Roche.

Sarah LaClair, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Ashley Rock, friend of the bride. Flower girls were Madison and Madalyn Murphy, nieces of the groom and Leah Akey, daughter of the bridesmaid and best man and special friend of the bride and groom.

Chris Akey, friend of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Jordon Keleher, friend of the groom and Michael and Thomas, brothers of the groom. The ring bearer was Grady Murphy, the couple's four year-old yellow lab, assisted by the bride's brother, Max LaClair.

A reception at Café Mooney Bay immediately followed the ceremony. Along with Rebecca's maternal grandmother, Pauline Magrino of Tupper Lake and her paternal grandfather, Roger Luke LaClair and his wife Louella of Tupper Lake, over 150 family members and friends from as far away as Texas and Colorado enjoyed the festivities. Remembered and missed that day were Rebecca's maternal grandfather, the late Robert Magrino of Tupper Lake and Matthew's grandparents, Oscar and Dorothy Silver and Michael and Irene Murphy.

Rebecca is a 2002 graduate of Tupper Lake High School and 2006 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh. She is employed as Chief Financial Officer of JCEO in Plattsburgh.

Matthew is a 2002 graduate of Massena High School and a 2005 graduate of Canton ATC. He is employed as a Sheet Metal Foreman at J. Hogan Refrigeration in Peru.

After a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple continues to make their home on Rounds Drive in Peru.
