PLATTSBURGH — Katie Garrow and Mathew Martin were married Aug. 5, 2011, at Plattsburgh Memorial Chapel by the Rev. John Chandler from Palmyra, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Holly Garrow of Plattsburgh. The bridegroom is the son of Todd and Kelly Martin of Palmyra.
Stephanie Cole of Pottsville, Ark., was maid of honor. Best man was Mason Martin of Palmyra, brother of the bridegroom.
Bridesmaids were Megan Susser of Delmar, the bride's cousin; Tyler Robinett of Midlothian, Va., sister of the bridegroom; Maria Chandler of Charlottesville, Va.; Hannah Jabaut of Plattsburgh; and Lyndale Nephew of Plattsburgh and Vanessa Garrow of Jay, cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Rheed Vineyard of Earlysville, Va., the bridegroom's cousin.
Ushers were Kyle Garrow of Plattsburgh, the bride's brother; Andrew McClellan of Arlington, Va., cousin of the bride; Steven Trader of Palmyra; Preston Chandler of Charlottesville; Tucker MacDonald of Earlysville; and Rolland Chandler of Palmyra. Ring bearer was Cody Garrow of Plattsburgh, the bride's brother.
Pianist was Matthew Robinett, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
Readers were Richard Benware, the bride's grandfather; and Bonnie Vineyard, aunt of the bridegroom.
A reception was held in the West Side Ballroom in Plattsburgh.
Katie Martin graduated from Plattsburgh State with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She attends George Washington University in Washington, D.C., pursuing a master's degree in forensics and is employed at CVS in Fairfax, Va.
Mathew Martin attends Marymount University in Arlington, Va., pursuing a degree in education with a history emphasis. He is employed at UPS in Springfield, Va., and Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va.
After a wedding trip to Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida, the Martins reside in Fairfax, Va.
