Lapan: 25 Years

Mr. & Mrs. Charles Lapan Jr. of 82 Pratt Street, Rouses Point, celebrated their 25th Anniversary on August 26th, 2012. Kimberly (Smith) Lapan is the daughter of Sally Jane and James Carl Smith of Rouses Point. Chuckie Lapan is the son of Lola Carol Lapan, and the late Charles Lapan Sr. also of Rouses Point.

Chuckie & Kim were married, on Saturday, August 29th, 1987 at The First Presbyterian Church, in Rouses Point, by Dr. Rev. Carlton Wu.

An Anniversary Party was given by their parents Carl & Sally Smith, Carol Lapan, and their son Justin Carl Lapan, which was held in their honor on Sunday, August 26th, at the American Legion Post #912, in Rouses Point with many family and friends in attendance.

The wedding attendants were Debra Bedard, as Maid of Honor, cousin of the bride; and David Sterling, as Best Man. The Bridesmaids were Susan (ONeill) Duquette; Lisa (Castine) Boyer; Kathy (Eberle) Casey; Lisa (Lapan) Sevilla, sister of the groom; and the late Marne (Hunter) Robinson, cousin of the bride. The Ushers were Ricky Hunter, cousin of the bride; Joseph Duquette, David Bechard, cousin of the groom, Christopher Bedard, cousin of the bride, and Dean Linsley, cousin of the groom. The flower girl was Shelbie (Begore) Law, cousin of the groom; and Ring bearer was Scott Favreau, cousin of the bride.

Dennis Roberts Sr. was Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Debra Bedard, Maid of Honor, and David Sterling, Best Man each gave a toast to the couple. Rev. Steve Loan, Pastor of the Three Steeples Church in Champlain, gave the blessing before dinner. Music for dancing was enjoyed by Randy Bosley of Sound Obsession DJ Service.

Kimberly works at James C. Smith & Son, Inc., in Champlain, as an Office Manager/Secretary. Chuckie works at 3-J Fuels, Inc., in Champlain as a Mechanic. As Kim & Chuckie started to celebrate their 25th Anniversary in April, as they took their first cruise on the Carnival Legend cruise line.
