Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

LaDuke: 50 years

DANNEMORA — Robert and Carole LaDuke of Dannemora celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sunday, July 22. A surprise celebration was given by their children and attended by family and friends. A dinner buffet was followed by dancing at the American Legion Post 1618 in Saranac.

They were married on August 25, 1962, at St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville by Rev. Francis White.

Bonnie Blaise, was the maid of honor and best man was Ralph Dow.

Robert and Carole graduated from Lyon Mountain High School.

Carole retired in 1996 from Northern Adirondack Central School. Robert retired in 1996 from Clinton Correctional Facility.

The couple have three children: Mr. Steven LaDuke of Peru; Mrs. Perry (Suzanne) Barber of Dannemora; and Mrs. Chad (Stephanie) Webb of Plattsburgh. They also have four grandchildren, Hannah and Hallie LaDuke and Jack and Landen Webb.
