PLATTSBURGH — Dominick Jr. and Helen Camelo of Plattsburgh celebrated their 60th anniversary at a party at the home of Dr. Camelo, hosted by their children. As part of the celebration, Dominick also was honored for his 90th birthday. Friends from Myrtle Beach, where the Camelos winter, also were in attendance.
Dominick Camelo Jr. and Helen Finegan were married June 30, 1951, in St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Saranac Lake by the Rev. Peter Ward.
Dominick retired from Plattsburgh Air Force Base and Theodore Stay and Sons, Plattsburgh. He is involved with Knights of Columbus, Keeseville and is a volunteer at CVPH. He is a former School Board member at Seton Catholic and a former Little League coach.
Helen retired from New York State Department of Labor, Plattsburgh. She is a volunteer at CVPH. She is a former Girl Scout leader and member of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Rosary Society.
Their children are Maureen Camelo Whiting of Glens Falls, Gregory Camelo of Wilmington and Dr. Kathleen Camelo of Plattsburgh.
