ESSEX — Bryan and Mary Garvey of Essex announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay, of Sanford, N.C., to Justin King-Gaines of Liberty, N.C., son of Johnny and Annie-Kay Gaines of Goldston, N.C.
Lindsay Garvey graduated from Willsboro Central School in 2003 and Juniata College in Pennsylvania in 2006 with her bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She teaches English language arts and coaches boys soccer and girls basketball at Chatham Middle School in Siler City, N.C.
Justin Gaines graduated from Chatham Central School in Bear Creek, N.C., in 2001 and East Carolina University in North Carolina in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is the branch manager of Fidelity Bank in Liberty.
A July 10 wedding is planned.
