PLATTSBURGH — Mark and Marilyn Schwartz of 39 Hammond Lane, Plattsburgh, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah, to Michael Burleigh, of Plattsburgh.
He is the son of David and Carol Burleigh and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dominy, all of Plattsburgh.
Sarah K. Schwartz, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Parmeter of Plattsburgh, graduated from Seton Catholic Central School in 2000; Plattsburgh State in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and again in 2009 with a master of science for teachers in childhood education first through sixth grade with dual certifications in early childhood education, birth through second grade and students with disabilities, birth through second grade; first through sixth grade. She is a special education teacher at Rouses Point Elementary School for the Northeastern Clinton Central School District.
Michael W. Burleigh graduated from Seton Catholic Central in 1999. He is a plumber and pipe fitter for the Local 773 Union.
A May wedding is planned.
