Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

Roy - Hallock

PLATTSBURGH — Jackie Roy and Thom Hallock were married on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh by the Rev. John Downs, Ms. Roy's hometown priest from Massena, and Deacon Mark Bennett from St. Peter's Catholic Church.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Roy of Montreal, Quebec. The bridegroom is the son of Anne Hallock and the late Carlton Hallock of Gilboa.

The couple met at WPTZ-TV in Plattsburgh where Mr. Hallock was a news anchor and Ms. Roy a news producer.

Ms. Roy is an assistant vice president and branch manager at Champlain National Bank in Lake Placid. She received a master's degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from St. Lawrence University. She grew up and graduated from high school in Massena.

Mr. Hallock is an anchor and senior news producer at Mountain Lake PBS in Plattsburgh. Before that, he was a television news anchor at WPTZ for 11 years. He has also worked as a news anchor in Portland, Maine; Bangor, Maine and Harrisburg, Penn. He received a bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. Thom grew up on a dairy farm in Gilboa. The couple currently resides in Plattsburgh.
