SARANAC LAKE — Stanley and Shirley St. Louis of Plattsburgh celebrated their 60th anniversary at a dinner at the Red Fox Restaurant in Saranac Lake with their children and grandchildren.
Stanley St. Louis and Shirley Darrah were married Oct. 6, 1951, in St. Peter's Church, Plattsburgh, by the Rev. Lemieux.
Stanley has been retired from Plattsburgh Grocery for 22 years after 40 years employment. He was director of Mt. Matumbla Hunting Club in Tupper Lake. Shirley's employment included in-home day care, X-Plo, Shonbeck and R Industries. She has been retired for 14 years. Stanley and Shirley split their time between their winter home in Inglis, Fla., and their summer home on Union Falls Lake.
Their children are Michael St. Louis and Karen Lopez of Plattsburgh, Judy and Daniel Carpenter of Cadyville, Mark and Jackie St. Louis of Tupper Lake, Philip and Patricia St. Louis of Plattsburgh and Laurie and Brent Banker of Peasleeville. They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
