PLATTSBURGH — Alexa Kae Simmons and Pfc. Mason Joseph Taylor were married Dec. 23, 2011, at Plattsburgh United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marion Moore-Colgan.
The bride is the daughter of Dustin and Jessica Simmons of Plattsburgh. The bridegroom is the son of Steven and Letitia Taylor of Plattsburgh.
Maid of honor was Jessica Huber of Plattsburgh. Best man was the bridegroom’s father, Steven Taylor.
Bridesmaids were Bryana Simmons, sister of the bride, and Samantha Taylor, sister of the bridegroom, both of Plattsburgh; Samantha Weaver of West Chazy; and Michelle Cressey of Plattsburgh.
Flower girl was Olivia Dupras, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Zeita-Lynne LaPointe, niece of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Casey Dupras of West Chazy and Brady Dupras of Mooers, uncles of the bride; and Larry Barnaby of Plattsburgh. Groomsmen were Jacob Simmons, the bride’s brother; and Bakim Hamlin, Chris MacDonald and Thomas Ryan, all of Plattsburgh.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Readers were Mary Taylor, the bridegroom’s grandmother, and Kim Dupras, the bride’s grandmother.
A reception was held at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars in Plattsburgh. Music was provided by Leslie Scholtz.
Alexa K. Taylor graduated from Beekmantown Central School in June. She is also attending Clinton Community College and is employed at TJ Maxx in Plattsburgh.
Pfc. Mason J. Taylor graduated from Beekmantown Central School in 2011. He also graduated from the US Marine School of Infantry, Camp Geiger, N.C., and advanced infantry training battalion, Light Armored Vehicle Training Co., Camp Pendleton, Calif.
The bride currently resides in Plattsburgh. The bridegroom lives at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, TwentyNine Palms, Calif.
