PLATTSBURGH — Carla Wells of Plattsburgh (and the late Hubert "Hubie" Wells Jr.) announces the engagement of her daughter, Shallen, to Matthew Joseph Brunet, also of Plattsburgh. He is the son of Wendy LaForest and Thomas Brunet of Plattsburgh.
Shallen Wells graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 2005, from Plattsburgh State with a B.S. degree in elementary education in 2008, and from the College of Saint Rose in Albany with an M.S. degree in early childhood education/special education.
Matthew Brunet graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 2000 and Clinton Community College with an associate degree in industrial technology.
A July 17 wedding is planned.
