Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

Defayette - Lukas

PLATTSBURGH — Kristen Elyse Defayette and Sean Michael Lukas were married on August 25, 2012, at the Plattsburgh Memorial Chapel in Plattsburgh, NY, by Judge Kevin Patnode.

The bride is the daughter of Keith and Judy Defayette of Plattsburgh. The bridegroom is the son of Maryanne Lukas of Depew, NY.

Nikki Defayette, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Josh Fellows, cousin of the groom, was the bridegrooms best man.

Bridesmaids were Kari Prevo, sister of the bride, Ashley Markle-Klapp, cousin of the groom, Brin Ashline, Mattea Alteri, and Katie Murphy, friends of the bride.

Ushers were Kevin Stephan, Francesco Cimato, Tyson Markle-Klapp, Rick Colello, and Greg Brooker, friends of the groom..

The bride was escorted by her father.

Readers were Jonna Clark, cousin of the bride, Mary Tello friend of the bride and Jason Overholt, friend of the groom.

A reception was held at the Westside Ballroom in Plattsburgh.

Kristen graduated from Peru High School in 2004, and is a graduate of the University at Buffalo in 2009 with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. She is an Occupational Therapist for Peru Central School District in Peru, NY.

Sean graduated from Lancaster High School in 2006, and SUNY Plattsburgh in 2012, with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Planning and Management. He is employed at CVPH in Plattsburgh.

After a honeymoon to Kauai, Hawaii the couple resides in Plattsburgh.
