MANAGUA, Nicaragua — Marcos Gradys and Dr. Concepcion Somarriba, both of Managua, Nicaragua, announce the engagement of their daughter, Indira Fabiola Gradys Somarriba, also of Nicaragua, to Jeremiah Eppler of Managua, son of Kathy Eppler of Plattsburgh and Michael Eppler of Morrisonville.
Indira Somarriba graduated high school from Colegio la Anunciacion in 1999. In 2007, she graduated as a medical doctor from the American University of Managua and is now a second-year dermatology resident at the National Dermatology Center.
Jeremy Eppler graduated from Seton Catholic Central School in Plattsburgh in 2001 and the College of St. Rose in 2005, after which he served as a medical interpreter in Albany. In 2006, he began service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Totogalpa, Nicaragua, where he and Indira met during their service work. He now works as a project specialist for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency in Managua.
A June 2010 wedding is planned in Nicaragua.
