CHAMPLAIN — Melissa Murdie and Brent Deso were married Sept. 5, 2009, in St. Mary's Church, Champlain, by the Rev. James Delbel.
The bride is the daughter of Reggie and Cindy Murdie of 2736 State Highway 68, Canton. The bridegroom is the son of James and Shirley Deso of 7 Beechwood Drive, Rouses Point.
Nicole Murdie, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Best man was Heath Cardin.
Bridesmaids were Carmen Deso, sister of the bridegroom; and Kristie Sibbitts, the bride's cousin. Flower girl was Ashton Wright, cousin of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Chris Brunell; and Andrew Deso, the bridegroom's brother. Ring bearer was Hunter Sibbitts, cousin of the bride.
Lorelei Murdie, the bride's aunt, played the organ for the ceremony at church.
A reception was held at the Rainbow Wedding & Banquet Hall in the Gold Room in Altona.
Melissa Deso graduated from Hugh C. Williams High School in 2004 and Plattsburgh State in 2008 with a double major, criminal justice and sociology. She is employed at TD Bank and Old Navy.
Brent Deso graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School in 2001 and Hobart Welding Institute in 2002. He is employed in the family business, R. Deso Inc.
After a trip to Disney World, the Desos reside at 8 Columbus Drive, Rouses Point. They are planning a honeymoon to Ireland, Scotland and France for next spring.
