PLATTSBURGH — Paul and Susan O'Connell of 13 Woodland Drive, Plattsburgh, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kacey, of 2623 Vermontview Drive, Watervliet, to Michael David Merhige, son of Tammy Merhige of 5 Prospect Way, Rensselaer, and the late Thomas Merhige.
Kacey O'Connell graduated from Seton Catholic Central School in Plattsburgh and College of St. Rose with a degree in elementary education. She is a caseworker for the Albany County Department of Children, Youth and Family.
Michael Merhige graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush and Hudson Valley Community College with an A.A.S. degree in physical education. He is a teachers assistant in the East Greenbush Central School District.
A Sept. 4, 2010, wedding is being planned.
