Long — Rosenbaum


PLATTSBURGH — Alison M. Long and Derek J. Rosenbaum were married Aug. 29, 2009, in St. John's Church, Plattsburgh, by the Rev. Tim Canaan.

The bride is the daughter of Roger and Darlene Long of Peru. The bridegroom is the son of Jerry and Helene Rosenbaum of Morrisonville.

Rosemary Manchester of Plattsburgh, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Best man was Aaron Rosenbaum of State College PA, the bridegroom's brother.

Bridesmaids were Elisha Poirier of Pittsfield, Mass.; Gena Rosenbaum of Rochester, the bridegroom's sister; Carrie Long of Peru, sister-in-law of the bride; Emily Manchester of Plattsburgh, the bride's niece; Susan Smith of Plattsburgh; Laura Mackintosh of Boston, Mass.; and Laurel Noveck of New York City. Flower girl was Cora Long of Peru, niece of the bride.

Ushers were Roger Long of Peru, the bride's brother; Jim Manchester of Plattsburgh, brother-in-law of the bride; Chad Poirier of Pittsfield; Brian Mockry of Latham; Dave Moore of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Michael Pascucci of Syosset; and Greg Van Arman of Springfield, Mass. Ring bearer was Noah Poirier of Pittsfield.

Readers were Garrett Manchester, nephew of the bride; Rebecca Godfrey, the bride's cousin; and Amber Carnahan.

A reception was held at the Harmony Golf Course in Port Kent.

Alison Rosenbaum graduated from Peru Central School in 2002; University of Rhode Island in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology; and Plattsburgh State in 2008 with a Master of Science degree in mental health counseling. She is intensive care coordinator/intensive in-home therapist at Behavioral Health Services North.

Derek Rosenbaum graduated from Seton Catholic Central School in 2000 and Plattsburgh State in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. He is a real estate appraiser at Adirondack Appraisal Services and an unfranchised business owner for Market America.

After a wedding trip to Curacao, the Rosenbaums reside in Plattsburgh.
