Guynup — Duso


CADYVILLE — Elissa Guynup and Stephen Duso were married Sept. 19, 2009, in St. James Minor Church, Cadyville, by Msgr. Lawrence Deno.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Peg Guynup of Cadyville. The bridegroom is the son of Stephen and Wanda Duso of Lewis.

Dawn Lavene of Astoria was maid of honor. Best man was Jason Doyle of Rome, N.Y.

Bridesmaids were Erin Wright of Clifton Park; and Christie Stoffles of Albany and Lindsey Moore of Peru, cousins of the bride.

Ushers were Chris Duntley of Lewis, Tom Matthews of New York City and Corey Cole of Lewis. Ring bearers were Jacob Guynup of Peasleeville and Logan Duquette of Cadyville.

Readings were by William and Richard Duso, the bridegroom's brothers; and Nathan and Christopher Guynup, brothers of the bride. John Miner provided the ceremony music accompaniment.

A reception was held at Cricket's Casual Food and Spirits in Peru.

Elissa Duso graduated from Saranac Central School in 2002; Clinton Community College in 2004 with an associate degree in business administration; and Plattsburgh State in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in hotel restaurant and tourism management. She is employed in the Human Resource office at Mountain Lake Services.

Stephen Duso graduated from Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School in 2002; CV-TEC in 2002 in security and law enforcement; and Clinton Community College in 2004 with an associate's degree in criminal justice. He is employed at the Essex County Sheriff's Office.

After a wedding trip to the coast of Maine, the Dusos reside in Lewis.
