LAKE CLEAR — Kirk and Diane Peterson of Lake Clear celebrated their 40th anniversary Sept. 11, 2009, at a family dinner.
Kirk Peterson and Diane Rettger were married Sept. 11, 1969, in Erie, Pa.
They have two children, Beth Guglielmi and Laura Peterson; and a grandchild, James.
After getting married, Kirk and Diane moved to New Mexico to teach a Navajo Mission school for three years before coming to the Adirondacks. Kirk teaches at Paul Smith's College, and Diane is a kindergarten teacher in Saranac Lake.
