Waite: 50 years


PLATTSBURGH — Irv and Marlene Waite of 87 Bailey Ave., Plattsburgh, celebrated their 50th anniversary at a reception hosted by their children and their spouses at Geoffrey's Pub.

Irv and Marlene were married Aug. 15, 1959, in Centenary Methodist Church, Greenwich, by the Rev. Andrew Currier.

Denise Perkins Lacouture, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Betty Harvey, Charlotte Seaman and Sandra Steele were bridesmaids. Best man was Richard Waite, the bridegroom's brother. Groomsmen were Lynn Perkins, brother of the bride; Donald Miner, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; and Donald Riche, the bridegroom's cousin.

Irv and Marlene Waite retired from Plattsburgh City School District 15 years ago.

Their children are Scott and Tracy Waite of Morrisonville and Mike and Linda Waite of West Chazy. They have four grandchildren, Trevor Waite, Aaron Waite, Bethany Waite and Ethan Waite.
