CHAMPLAIN — Peter and Stephanie Mavor of Champlain and Denise and James Arvai of Waterloo, Ont., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda L. Mavor of Plattsburgh, to Travis C. Christon, also of Plattsburgh. He is the son of Clifton Christon of Schuyler Falls and Michelle Christon of West Chazy.
Amanda Mavor graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School in 2005; attended Clinton Community College, science and pre-nursing; and graduated from Champlain Valley Educational Services with a degree in nursing in 2008. She is employed by CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Travis Christon graduated from Peru Central School in 2004 and Champlain Valley Educational Services, in environmental conservation, in 2004. He is employed by Best Roofing Inc. of New Jersey and is pursuing a career in correctional services.
A fall 2011 wedding is planned.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.
In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.
