PERU — Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Doty of 16 John Boswell Road celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.
Thirty relatives and friends gathered at Peru Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 309 for a party given by the couple's daughters, Brenda Phillips and Kim Ashline and their husbands, Edward and Carl. While the post D.J. spun Ronnie and Pat's favorite tunes, guests were treated to an all-you-can-eat buffet and anniversary cake.
Ronnie Doty and Pat Hare were married in the Town of Peru on Sept. 11, 1960.
Ronnie and Pat have owned and operated Country Auto for more than 20 years. Pat is employed at Print Pad Ltd., of Plattsburgh. The couple also enjoy each other's company, long drives, bowling, stock car races, good humor and good people.
