Don’t assail or impugn an identifiable individual or group. If you have that kind of criticism, sign your name and submit it as a Letter to the Editor. (There is some leeway on this in connection with public officials, but it is not unconditional.)

Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

Gardiner - O'Connor

PLATTSBURGH — LAKE PLACID — Emily Gardiner and Warrren O'Connor were married on September 1, 2012 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, in Lake Placid, NY, by Father John Yonkovig.

The bride is the daughter of David and Victoria Gardiner of Chateaugay, NY. The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Elaine O'Connor of Chateaugay, NY.

Hannah and Sarah Gardiner of Chateaugay, NY, were maids of honor. Sheridan O'Connor of Morrisville, NC, and Sedrick O'Connor of Fishkill, NY, were best men.

Bridesmaids were Katelyn LaPlante, Kristi LaBare, Margaret Hamelin, Kristy Harrigan, Aurora O'Geen, April Fregoe, Erin Conners, and Alexandra Sprague.

Groomsmen were Jason LaPlante, John Calnon, Matthew Stumpf, Joseph McComb, Joseph Johnston, Jake Martin, Kelly O'Connor, Bryan O'Connor and Brady O'Connor.

Flower Girl was Abigail Case and Bailey O'Connor was the ring bearer.

Readings were done by, Britney Smith, Sacha Rafferty, Savanna O'Connor, and Jenn O'Connor.

Music was by Caroline O'Connor and Matt Hastings who performed "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain and the Recessional was performed by Robert Waller on bagpipes.

Flowers were by Fountain's Enchanted Florist.

The reception was held at the Lake Placid Conference Center. Music was provided by Party Effects (Ray Rivera).

Emily O'Connor graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2012, with a Master's Degree in Speech-language Pathology. She currently works as a Speech-language Therapist for a primary school in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Warren O'Connor graduated from Siena College in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He currently serves as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps in Norfolk, Virginia.

The couple now resides in Norfolk, Virginia.
