PERU — Donna Castine of Gorman Way, Peru, announces the engagement of her daughter, Amanda Clark, of Set Point, Plattsburgh, to Adam Carter, also of Plattsburgh. He is the son of Ken and Maxine Carter of Route 3, Saranac.
Amanda Clark graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School, Champlain, in 2000 and Plattsburgh State in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She received a Master of Science degree in education and certificate of advanced study in school counseling from Plattsburgh State in 2008. She is guidance counselor at Saranac Middle School.
Adam Carter graduated from Saranac Central in 2001 and Siena College, Loudonville, in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He received a Master of Science degree in education and certificate of advanced study in school counseling from Plattsburgh State in 2008. He is guidance counselor at Peru Middle School.
An Aug. 14 wedding is planned.
