PERU — Ronald (Ed) Sr. and Judith (Judy) Spies of Lyon Mountain and Plattsburgh celebrated their 50th anniversary Jan. 30, 2010, at a dinner at Cricket's Casual Food & Spirits in Peru with family and friends.
Ronald E. Spies and Judith A. Premore were married Jan. 30, 1960, in Plattsburgh.
Ed is retired from New York State Department of Corrections. Judy is retired from being a domestic engineer.
Their children are Virginia of Plattsburgh, and Ronald Jr. and Marlene Spies of Saranac. They have a grandson and his fiance, and a step-granddaughter.
