PLATTSBURGH — James and Joyce Trombley celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 26, 2009. The couple is traveling to Myrtle Beach for the month of March to celebrate.
James Trombley and Joyce Everleth were married Dec. 26, 1959, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh by the Rev. Cyr.
Joyce is from Plattsburgh and James is from Morrisonville. James enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 and retired in 1980. He later worked for contractors until 2001. Joyce worked for Fredricks before the marriage.
They are the parents of four children, a son, James of Ballivin, Mo.; a daughter, Joanne of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a daughter, June of Plattsburgh; and a son, John of Winchendon, Mass. They have eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Christina, Justin, Sean, David, Cassandra, Alexandria and John Clifford. They have three great-grandchildren, Austin, Mason, and Hannah.
Jim likes walking, senior exercise and playing pinochle. Joyce enjoys cooking, the grandkids, watching TV and is a Red Hatter. They both like working with senior citizens and spending time with family.
