MERRILL — Francis and Jackie LaPoint of Merrill celebrated their 50th anniversary on March 17, 2012. A party was given in their honor by their children on June 16, 2012.
Francis Joseph LaPoint and Jacqueline Mary Perry were married March 17, 1962, in St. Bernard’s Church, Lyon Mountain, by the Rev. Harold McCabe. Their wedding attendants were Jean Perry LaPoint, sister of the bride, maid of honor; and Delphus LaMere, the bridegroom’s cousin, best man.
Francis is employed at Georgia Pacific. He is retired from the Town of Ellenburg.
They have four children: Randy LaPoint of Saranac; Peter LaPoint of Peru, Ind.; Scott LaPoint of Merrill; and Tracy LaPoint Gardner of Merrill. They have 11 grandchildren.
Francis and Jackie love to spend time with their children and grandchildren.
