An event in Malone challenged students to walk to school for their health and the health of the planet, in general. The students who did walk to school on that day were entered into a drawing to receive a $100 prize. The winner was fourth-grader Cody Woodard of Chateaugay. He was presented with his prize before the senior play, with his parents, Rollin and Cody Woodward, on hand to watch. The presentation was made by Ron Reyome, Franklin County Traffic Safety chairman.
