PLATTSBURGH — Kelly Baker and Adam Wilk were married on June 23, 2012, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh by Rev. Mark Bennett.
The bride is the daughter of William and Rebecca Baker of Chazy. The bridegroom is the son of Patrice Sweeney and Dr. Steven Wilk of Carmel, Ind.
Meredith Torrance of Ausable Forks, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Ryan Wilk of Chicago, Ill., brother of the groom, was the bridegroom's best man.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Bridesmaids were Kristen Wilk, sister of the groom and Alana Finley Edmonson, friend of the couple.
Groomsmen were Jordan Edmonson, friend of the couple and Morgan Polikoff, friend of the groom.
The first reading was by Sabrina Dotsenko, cousin of the bride. The Responsorial Psalm was read by Jenae Duquette, cousin of the bride. Second reading was by Taylor Thompson, cousin of the groom. Emily Duquette, cousin of the bride, sang Ave Maria. Organ music was provided by George Schnob.
A horse drawn carriage was provided by Sayward's Classic Carriage Service.
A reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Plattsburgh. Music was provided by Jordan Edmonson.
Kelly Wilk graduated from Ausable Valley in 2002 and is a graduate of Dartmouth College in 2006 with a degree in anthropology. She was previously employed at the Witch House museum in Salem, Mass., and at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. She is currently an associate at Crazy Wisdom bookstore in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Adam Wilk graduated from Hinsdale Central in Chicago, Ill., in 2002 and Dartmouth College in 2006, with a degree in math and Latin. He was previously employed at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health.
After a honeymoom along the coast of Maine, the couple will reside in Ann Arbor, Mich.
