PLATTSBURGH — Later this month, Raymond "Foxy" Gagnon is expected to publicly admit he possessed child pornography on his personal computer.

The 61-year-old retired teacher originally pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.

After a series of adjournments, the well-known local media personality was set to go on trial in Albany Monday.

But on Friday, federal prosecutors told the Press-Republican there was another adjournment, this time for a change-of-plea appearance.

Those involved in the case have been negotiating the terms of a possible plea for months and it appears an arrangement has been finalized.

Because Gagnon has not yet admitted his guilt, officials could not disclose the terms of the plea, which is scheduled to happen Feb. 26.

The matter is set to be resolved in an Albany courtroom, though the venue could change.

Gagnon remains free on conditions, including electronic-home monitoring with limited excursions allowed, pending his plea.

Gagnon retired from teaching for the Plattsburgh City School district in 2005 and occasionally served as a substitute teacher.

Before his arrest in June, Gagnon taped events for broadcast on Charter Cable access television and had written a blog, "On the Sly," for the Press-Republican.
