Man charged in flare gun shootings

PLATTSBURGH — State police say they've arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the firing of flare guns at occupied mobile homes, another residence and a business sign in Clinton County.

Troopers announced Wednesday night that they had arrested Cory Burdo of Plattsburgh on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief for his involvement in the four separate flare gun shootings that have occurred in the Plattsburgh area since last Sunday.

He was scheduled for arraignment late Wednesday night. Other information wasn't immediately available Thursday.

No one was injured in the shootings, but trooper say one of the flares was fired at a parked pull-behind trailer and flew through windows.

Two homes and a sign at a construction company's property were damaged in the other shootings.

FYI...
  • computer.jpg In fan fiction, your favorite characters do what you want them to

When J.J. Abrams took over the "Star Trek" franchise in 2009, he boldly went where the series hadn't gone before — romantically — pairing Uhura with Spock. Many fans disliked the change. Some loved it. Others didn't care, because they just wanted to see Kirk and Spock make out.
