Chateaugay Central School Board meeting today

CHATEAUGAY — Chateaugay Central School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the school.

Agenda items include: taxy levy and warrant, building project report, and police updates related to new Dignity for All Students Act, new Concussion Management Law, property tax cap.

Other agenda items to be discussed: designation of Dignity Act coordinators, athletic merger approval, reappoint fall coaches, approval of substitute and non-teaching substitute lists and an employee performance discussion.

The meeting is open to the public.

Kids’ fun will raise money for Champlain playground

CHAMPLAIN — The first fundraiser for the Village of Champlain Community Playground Project, fittingly enough, will bring children downtown to play.

Dunkin’ Donuts will screen the movie “Dolphin” at dusk in River Street Park on Wednesday. But first, starting at 6 p.m., there will be games, face-painting, a bounce house, product sampling, concessions and costume characters.

The movie is free; the money raised from refreshment sales will go toward the playground.

CCRS Board to discuss policies

CHAZY — The Chazy Central Rural School Board will hold its regular board meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. 

Topics of discussion will include substitutes, the student handbook, policies and.

The public may attend.

Peru Central Board to hear comment on conduct code

PERU — The Peru Central School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the district’s community room adjacent to Peru High School’s main entrance.

An executive session associated with the performance history of particular employees and advice of counsel from the school attorney will take place immediately. Public session will reconvene at about 7 p.m.

A public hearing will take place on proposed changes to the District Code of Conduct, and other agenda items include setting the tax levy for the new school year, confirming the tax roll and 2012 tax warrant.

The public is welcome.

Beekmantown Central to discuss open board seat

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will hold a public hearing on the student dress code at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Middle/High School library. 

The regular meeting will follow, with agenda items including discussion on filling a vacant board seat, resignations, tenure, the Professional Development Plan, high-school electives and trash removal.
