PLATTSBURGH — The Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau and Mountain Lake PBS are partners in a series of short videos to promote local tourism.
"Adirondack Coast Minutes" is written, produced and hosted by Mountain Lake PBS Senior Producer Emeritus Derek Muirden. The series will focus on a variety of topics and interests to showcase all four seasons.
Thirty-second spots will air on Mountain Lake PBS throughout the year, and longer versions will be used in online marketing efforts to promote area tourism to viewers, including those in Quebec and Vermont.
The spots will start to air this summer.
North Country Chamber of Commerce Vice President for Marketing Michele Powers said it is a great opportunity to promote this region.
"Derek is well known in all of Quebec from his work on shows such as 'Roadside Adventures' and 'Rustic Living.' His advocacy of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks will help us spread the word about the Adirondack Coast and all the opportunities awaiting visitors," she said in a press release.
"Adirondack Coast Minutes" and other videos focused on the region produced by Mountain Lake PBS will be integrated into www.goadirondack.com, the official tourism website for Clinton County.
The two organizations will work together to promote the area at trade shows and events.
"Mountain Lake PBS has a strong history of promoting our region through hundreds of hours of locally produced programs," said Mountain Lake PBS President and CEO Alice Recore, "so we are very excited about the partnership with the Adirondack Coast campaign. It's a great fit."
