Tupper Lake plans

substation upgrades

TUPPER LAKE — A power outage is scheduled for 6 to 9 a.m. Sunday for substation upgrades in the Village of Tupper Lake.

Here are the areas that will experience the outage: all of Rock Ridge, Amell Lane, Arden Street, Aubuchon’s Plaza, Bradley Street area, Chemical Street, the Civic Center, Demars Boulevard from Santa Clara Avenue to Lake Street, Don Smith Apartments, Forest Avenue, Hebert Lane, High Street, Ivy Terrace, Lake Street, LeBeouf Street, McCarthy Street, Park Street from Rock Ridge to Hill Street, Pleasant Avenue, Save-A-Lot Plaza and Woodland Drive.

No rain date has been scheduled.

Collective negotiations

on NACS agenda

ELLENBURG CORNERS — The Northern Adirondack Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in the District Office conference room.

An immediate executive session will be convened regarding the performance of particular employees and collective negotiations. The board will reconvene for public session at about 7 p.m. The agenda includes recognizing FFA state winners and also administration, faculty and staff in making the start of the new year successful despite challenges with construction projects.

The board will also adopt policies on interscholastic athletics and animals in schools. See the whole agenda at www.nacs1.org.

Peru fire commissioners working on budget

PERU — The Peru Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Peru Fire Station, 753 Bear Swamp Road.

The purpose of the meeting, which is open to all, is the 2013 budget.

Agenda set for Moriah School Board meeting

MORIAH — The Moriah Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the High School library.

Agenda items include adviser approvals, a first reading on policies, Teachers Association discussion and board reports.

The public may attend.

City Assessment Office to remain open next week

PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Assessment Office will not be closed next week, as had previously been planned.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

NCCC Board to hear

financial update

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting at noon Tuesday, Sept. 18, in room 219 on the Ticonderoga campus, 11 Hawkeye Trail.   

Agenda items are expected to include administrative reports, personnel and a financial update. An executive session may be called.

Board meetings are open to the public.

City Finance Office

renovations planned

PLATTSBURGH — The drive-up window for the City of Plattsburgh Finance Office at 6 Miller St. will be closed Oct. 3 and 4 for renovations.
