Food package available in Essex County
ELIZABETHTOWN —The Extra Helpings Program will have December food packages available.
There is no age or income limit; however, only cash will be accepted.
For $21, recipients will get Bavarian Holiday ham half, chicken patties, hamburger, beef hot dogs, peeled butternut squash and baby carrots.
There are also two special packages and a meat box:
Special 1: cranberry-and-apple-stuffed boneless pork loin roast for $15.75.
Special 2: all-beef meatballs, buffalo-flavored chicken wings, sweet Italian sausage and cocktail franks for $22.75.
Meat box: For $32, the meat box contains apple-and-cranberry-stuffed pork chops, honey-mustard-flavored chicken breasts, beef patties, breakfast sausage links and chicken patties.
To receive the food package, payment must be received by Dec. 3. Call 873-3630 to sign up.
The packages can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Good Shepherd Parish Hall.
