Thanksgiving meals offered

PLATTSBURGH — Thanksgiving meals are being offered in several local communities today and Thursday.

ELLENBURG CENTER
Thanksgiving dinner. 1 p.m. Thursday, OLA House of Prayer, Ellenburg Center. Free, although donations are welcome. RSVP to 594-3253.

CROWN POINT
Thanksgiving meal. Only open to Crown Point residents who don't have the means to have their own dinner or who will be alone Thanksgiving. Free dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Frenchman's Restaurant in Crown Point. The meal is a joint effort between Frenchman's, Maple Ridge Restaurant and Sacred Heart, Crown Point United Methodist and the First Congregational churches.

PLATTSBURGH
Thanksgiving dinner with trimmings. 2 p.m. today at Veterans of Foreign Wars, 116 Boynton Ave., Plattsburgh. Cost: $8.

Thanksgiving Day feast. Noon Thursday, Elks Lodge, 56 Cumberland Ave, Plattsburgh. Sponsored by the Salvation Army, join in for a community celebration free of charge. Transportation available from Flynn Avenue Senior high-rises and the Long Apartments on Oak Street, beginning at 11 a.m.

Annual ham and turkey buffet dinner. Noon Thursday, American Legion Post 20, 162 Quarry Road, Plattsburgh. Price: $10.50 for adults; $5.25 for kids age 6 to 12; and free for younger children. For reservation, call 563-3650.

TICONDEROGA

Thanksgiving dinner. Free dinner will be served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ticonderoga fire station, courtesy of Val and Craig Dixon and the Stonitsch family. Anyone who can't get to the fire house for the meal can call 585-6369 for a ride or for a meal delivery.

WILMINGTON
Free community Thanksgiving dinner. 3 p.m. Thursday at Whiteface United Methodist Church, Route 86, Wilmington. Anyone in the Jay and Wilmington area who wants to celebrate with friends is welcome; make reservations by calling 946-7757 or 946-7192.

MOOERS FORKS

11 A.M. St. Anne's Church Hall. Sit down, take out and delivery available for Mooers and Mooers Forks residents though no one will be turned away. Event sponsored by the Mooers/Mooers Forks Catholic Christian Community. Call 236-5632 or 236-7129 today for information or to order takeout.
