ELCS teachers seeking food donations
ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Teachers Association is making canned and non-perishable food donations to the local community food shelf and the Families First food shelf.
The community may contribute to this cause by bringing canned and/or nonperishable food items to the Parent-Teacher Conferences at the school 1 to 7 p.m. today.
Donation boxes will be located in the lobby.
Donations will be accepted until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Seton Academy Education Council to meet
PLATTSBURGH — The Seton Academy Education Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school library.
Agenda items include committee updates, preliminary discussion of the new year's budget, results of the cognitive abilities test and the report from the diocesan assistant superintendent regarding her visit to Seton Academy.
The meeting is open to all.
Clinton County Legislature agenda set
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Legislative Chambers, 137 Margaret St., Plattsburgh.
Among the resolutions to be acted upon are advertising for a public hearing on the 2010 county budget, authorizing 2010 contracts and distribution of mortgage tax for the period April 1, 2009, through Sept. 30, 2009.
All meetings are open to the public.
Beekmantown Town Hall closed for holiday
BEEKMANTOWN — Beekmantown Town Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Town offices will resume regular hours on Monday, Nov. 30.
