Police: 15-year-old AVCS student attempted assault

AuSABLE — A 15-year-old student at AuSable Valley Central School faces charges for attempting to assault another pupil with a weapon, according to Keeseville-based State Police.

Police said they could not disclose what kind of weapon was used in the alleged assault on a 14-year-old student but that teen was not injured, police said.

The incident was reported at 11:57 a.m. Nov. 19 by school officials, police said.

The 15-year-old was arrested at 1490 State Route 9N in the Town of AuSable. He was charged with assault with a weapon with intent to cause serious injury, a felony; and two misdemeanors, endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use.

The teen was released and referred to Family Court, said police, who would not release the name of the arrestee.

FYI...
  • computer.jpg In fan fiction, your favorite characters do what you want them to

When J.J. Abrams took over the "Star Trek" franchise in 2009, he boldly went where the series hadn't gone before — romantically — pairing Uhura with Spock. Many fans disliked the change. Some loved it. Others didn't care, because they just wanted to see Kirk and Spock make out.
