Saranac Lake records 34 degrees

SARANAC LAKE (AP) - Parts of upstate New York are getting an early taste of fall.

The temperature dipped to 34 degrees in Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks early Thursday morning.

Other areas of northern New York had low temperatures in the 40s, with 45 degrees at Watertown, 47 at Glens Falls and 49 at Plattsburgh. Most other upstate areas had overnight lows in the 50s.

Forecasters say Thursday's highs will be in the mid 60s for northern New York and the mid 70s for much of the rest of the state. A frost advisory has been issued for parts of the Adirondacks for Friday morning.
