PLATTSBURGH — It’s primary day, and Republicans are turning out around the region to choose candidates.
Matt Doheny of Watertown and Kellie Green of Sackets Harbor vie for the endorsement of the party in the race for the 21st Congressional District.
The winner today will run against Congressman Bill Owens (D-Plattsburgh) in the fall.
Downstate candidates Wendy Long, George Maragos and Bob Turner want to face off against Senate incumbent Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand.
All registered Republicans are eligible to cast their ballot.
