Structure fire fizzles

MOOERS — A fire at 169 Grew Road was quickly doused shortly after the 911 call went out this afternoon.

Clinton County Fire Control called out Mooers Fire Department with a mutual-aid request for a tanker from Champlain at about 1:07 p.m.

Smoke was showing at a double-wide mobile home.

Within minutes, though, mutual aid was canceled, as the blaze was brought under control, Fire Control said.
