Willsboro School Board to hold
special meeting
WILLSBORO — The Willsboro Central School Board of Education has scheduled a special board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. to discuss the tax rate and tax levy for the 2012-13 fiscal year.
The meeting will be held in the conference room at the school.
Saranac School Board meeting set for Tuesday
DANNEMORA — The Saranac Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the District Office in Dannemora.
The board may hold an executive session to discuss the employment history of particular personnel. The regular meeting will reconvene at about 6:40 p.m.
Agenda items include the approval of the tax warrants for the 2012-13 fiscal year. A complete agenda is available at the District Office and on the website saranac.org.
The public may attend.
Power outage scheduled for Tupper Lake
TUPPER LAKE — A power outage has been scheduled for 6 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, to perform required substation upgrades.
The following streets are affected: Baker Avenue areas, Barry Avenue, Big Tupper Road, Boyer Avenue, Brentwood Avenue and Parkway, Charlands Road and all points south of Charlands Road, Deer Street, Front Street, Hill Street, Isabell Avenue area, King Street, Lakeview Avenue, Lincoln Drive, Lindsay Avenue, Maddox Lane, Martin Street, Park Street from Hosley Avenue to Hill Street, Queen Street, Raquette River Drive, Rounds Avenue area, Route 30 South from Stetson Road, Simond Pond area, Sunset Avenue, Tamarac Village area, Victor Avenue, Wawbeek Avenue from Broad Street to Stetson Road, and Woods Avenue.
A rain date has been set for Friday, Aug. 24, at the same time.
