RAY BROOK — State Police made an arrest they say is connected to a string of burglaries in the region.
In a press release, State Police reported the arrest of Zachary M. Dahl, 24, of AuSable Forks Saturday.
Dahl was charged with second-degree burglary for the alleged burglary of a residence on Springfield Road in Wilmington. He was charged with third-degree burglary for an alleged burglary at A&W Family Restaurant on State Route 86 in Wilmington.
Dahl was charged with third-degree burglary for the alleged burglary of a pole barn in Wilmington. He was charged with third-degree burglary for an alleged burglary at AuSable Forks Elementary School.
Dahl was charged with third-degree burglary for the alleged burglary of a seasonal residence in Keene. He was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny for the alleged theft of a truck in AuSable Forks.
Dahl was arraigned before North Elba Town Justice Dean Deitrich and remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail or $200,000 bond at the recommendation of the Essex County District Attorney's Office.
The arrest stems from an intensive investigation by State Police based in Ray Brook, Plattsburgh and Keeseville. Police reported they have recovered a large amount of stolen property associated with the crimes.
The investigation continues and more charges are anticipated. Anyone with more information is asked to call State Police in Ray Brook at 897-2000.
