PLATTSBURGH — The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh has extended the registration deadline for its Bed Race, which will be part of the 2010 Battle of Plattsburgh Commemorative Weekend.
Interested teams now have until noon on the day of the race to complete the registration forms and waiver.
The event will take place on City Hall Place in downtown Plattsburgh beginning at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, following the annual Battle of Plattsburgh parade and the Rotary Club's 12th-annual Roducky Derby.
The top three teams in the Bed Race will receive prizes ranging from $500 to $100, and the team chosen for the best theme will be awarded $150. The prize money will be adjusted according to the number of teams registered.
The full rules for the event, along with registration forms, are available online at www.platts burghrotary.org.
Entry forms can be mailed to the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh, P.O. Box 86, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or can be dropped off at the Rotary office, which is located inside the United Way offices, 45 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.
