PLATTSBURGH — Two men are suspected of selling crack and cocaine from a city apartment, where authorities this week allegedly discovered a large amount of the drugs.
Plattsburgh City Police say they recently learned that the drugs were being sold from an apartment at 88A Miller St., and members of the Adirondack Drug Task Force took up surveillance.
After obtaining a search warrant, authorities raided the residence and reportedly found a stash of illegal drugs.
According to City Police, officers discovered 48 baggies of crack cocaine and four containing powdered cocaine.
Officials say the drugs are worth about $6,000 on the street.
They also allegedly found more than $1,000 in U.S. currency.
After the search Tuesday evening, police arrested two suspected drug dealers: Dante Harris, 32, of Virginia and Wiley Goodwin, 36, of Plattsburgh.
Harris is now facing a charge of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Goodwin was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Both men were arraigned in City Court Wednesday morning and sent to Clinton County Jail.
Police said additional charges and arrests are expected.
