Police investigate flare-gun incidents

PLATTSBURGH — State Police are investigating two incidents involving a flare-gun device that was discharged at occupied mobile homes.

Sunday, a flare was shot at a pull-behind trailer parked in the Sam’s Club parking lot in Consumer Square on Route 3 in Plattsburgh. Propelled through both windows, it was extinguished on the pavement. No one was injured, police said in a press release.

Tuesday, a flare gun was fired on Norrisville Road in the Town of Schuyler Falls. Two shots at a mobile home there caused no injuries but one flare, fired through a window, lodged in an interior wall, and the second one lodged in the vinyl siding.
