---- — KEESEVILLE — A collection for Hurricane Sandy victims will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Keeseville Elks Lodge 2072.
This will be the second load of needed items sent from the North Country to Highland, N.J.
Needs are: household brooms and dustpans; mold ventilator face masks; contractor garbage bags; plastic storage bins; small kitchen appliances; laundry detergent; plastic snow shovels; metal rakes; any kinds of tools; sponge mops; dish detergent; fabric softener; dryer sheets; space heaters; mold spray such as Lysol disinfectant; and new twin- and queen-sized mattresses and box springs.
Storm victims are beginning stock up on Sheetrock and supplies such as Sheetrock nails and tape; and painting supplies such as trays, brushes and rollers.
No clothes or blankets are needed this trip since there was such a great response earlier in the recovery effort.
