City School Board meets tonight
PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh City School Board meets tonight at the Duken Building, starting with executive session at 6 p.m. and a return to public session at 7:30 p.m.
The Spotlight will be the Stafford Middle School Biz Kids, and the board will continue working on the budget.
The meeting is open to all.
Census jobs available in Clinton County
PLATTSBURGH — About 1,200 U.S. Census jobs are available for people in Clinton County.
Testing is being offered at various locations throughout the county. The test consists of 28 multiple-choice questions and takes only 30 minutes.

Census takers find households, check address lists, interview people and record answers. Most workers are assigned to their own communities and often work at night and on weekends.
In Clinton County, the pay rate is $13 per hour, and workers are reimbursed 50 cents per mile for travel.

Agenda set for NACS Board meeting
ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Elementary School cafeteria.
The meeting will begin with an executive session to discuss the employment history of particular individuals and contract negotiations.
A High School status report will be given by Principal Mike Loughman.
Presentations are planned on "Impact Testing for the Management of Sports-Related Concussions" and on the work-study program.
Other agenda items include policy development and civil rights compliance review. The full agenda can be found on the district Web site.
The meeting is open to the public.
Lake Placid/North Elba code available
NORTH ELBA — The draft of the Lake Placid/North Elba Land Use Code, which was presented to the North Elba Town Council and the Lake Placid Village Board, is now available for general review.
Reading copies are located at the North Elba Building Office in the Town Hall (third floor) and at the Lake Placid Village Library.
The entire text can be viewed online at lakeplacid.com/jointplanning, and CDs may be obtained at the Building Office.
The public hearing for the adoption of this new code is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18.
