Census jobs available in Clinton County
PLATTSBURGH — About 1,200 U.S. Census jobs are available for people in Clinton County.
Testing is being offered at various locations throughout the county. The test consists of 28 multiple-choice questions and takes only 30 minutes.
A practice test is available at: http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/documents/Practice_Test.pdf.
Census takers find households, check address lists, interview people and record answers. Most workers are assigned to their own communities and often work at night and on weekends.
In Clinton County, the pay rate is $13 per hour, and workers are reimbursed 50 cents per mile for travel.
