Clintonville man admits inappropriately touching teen

PLATTSBURGH -- A Clintonville man has admitted he inappropriately touched a teenage girl.

According to Keeseville-based State Police, Richard Bombard invited the local teen to his home last summer, gave the girl marijuana and tried to fondle her.

After investigating the incident, State Police arrested the 44-year-old on a felony marijuana-sale charge and a misdemeanor count of third-degree sex abuse.

Earlier this week, Bombard returned to Clinton County Court before Judge Kevin Ryan and pleaded guilty to the original sex charge and a lesser felony drug-sale charge.

County Court clerks said he is due back in court Dec. 18 for sentencing.
